Washing machines; household or laundry-type, not fully-automatic, without built-in centrifugal drier, of a dry linen capacity not exceeding 10kg, with a CAGR of +23.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main product categories over the period under review, while purchases for the other products experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2024, the average washing and drying machine import price amounted to $292 per unit, with a decrease of -4.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2022 when the average import price increased by 18%. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($676 per unit), while the average price for exports to Panama ($43 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
